I cut refined, processed sugars a couple years ago but I have a MAJOR sweet tooth (which I’ll blame on my dad’s genetics). As many of you know, I have been making homemade chocolate ever since (also thanks to my dad who taught me how), and it has satisfied all cravings. Big thank you to Medea Galligan with New Earth Natural Medicine for suggesting we switch from cocoa powder to cacao powder to really make it superfood chocolate! (She does consults to help you heal with real food, so check her out!) Our chocolate is full of antioxidants, MCTs, prebiotics, probiotics, minerals, vitamins and it’s also delicious. Our daughter’s 4H group had a horse costume contest. I love the guy with the bandages and horse sign that reads, “Pony 4 Sale: Great with Kids.” What’s your pick?
One of the eggs in the nesting box a few days ago looked exactly like it was wearing a little hat. After a couple days sitting in a carton, the “hat seam” dissolved, and you could open the top of the egg. Very odd! Anybody have an idea why this happened?
I took the kids to Adventure Island yesterday for the last weekend before it closes for the season. They close because no one comes swimming because it’s “too cold”. Yesterday, the high was 85 degrees and the park was almost completely empty. I can’t judge. I love the sunshine too. But I do love a good cold plunge.
