#DISNEYMUSTPAY #FOSTERVDISNEY #STARWARS Alan Dean Foster wrote STAR WARS, the novelization of the first film. He has recently gone public with claims that Disney is not paying him contractual royalties since acquiring Lucasfilm. He is now being assisted by SFWA (Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America) who have started the online movement #DISNEYMUSTPAY. Though SFWA says Foster has received royalties on ALIEN, ALIENS, and ALIEN 3, he is still awaiting a resolution on STAR WARS. Disney released the following statement: “We are carefully reviewing whether any royalty payments may have been missed as a result of acquisition integration and will take appropriate remedial steps if that is the case.”
