We have traveled a few hours south to the Wallowa Mountains in Northeast Oregon for my birthday. The wildfire smoke is obstructing views as per usual for mountain adventures I choose to celebrate this time of year. š¤¦š¼āāļø Anyway, if baby producer stays in a few more days, that will be cause to celebrate! (Donāt worry, there is a hospital nearby in case of emergencies, though Lynn has delivered babies beforeā¦š³)
One of the eggs in the nesting box a few days ago looked exactly like it was wearing a little hat. After a couple days sitting in a carton, the āhat seamā dissolved, and you could open the top of the egg. Very odd! Anybody have an idea why this happened?
I took the kids to Adventure Island yesterday for the last weekend before it closes for the season. They close because no one comes swimming because itās ātoo coldā. Yesterday, the high was 85 degrees and the park was almost completely empty. I canāt judge. I love the sunshine too. But I do love a good cold plunge.
We are back to gardening after a year off. The reason? Paralysis by analysis is the homesteaderās worst enemy. So far the best adventures weāve had started small with no expectations but curiosity.
