Congress warns social media: crack down on threats to law enforcement

EDITED FROM OUR EDITORIAL BOARD MEETING: The chairs of the House Committee on Oversight & Reform recently sent letters to Meta, Twitter, TikTok, Truth Social, Rumble, Gab, Gettr & Telegram. The letter reads, "We urge you to take immediate action to address any threats of violence against law enforcement that appear on your company’s platforms." It is not the first letter of its kind demanding action from social media companies, which have faced government pressure over "dangerous" content for years.
