We rented a bouncy house for Lily’s birthday party and they accidentally brought us the expensive water slide - score for us! Lily had me up at sunrise to get in a few (30-ish) runs before the crew returns to pick it up. Time to get back to work after a great birthday week. Our neighbor is planning to put up a cell tower on his property. I am sure almost everyone here is well-versed in the dangers associated with radiation emitted from these towers, especially for kids. However it’s complicated to stop their construction as these cellular companies have near-criminal protections from the federal government. You can’t vote down a tower as a local governing body based on ANY health or environmental risks. I am asking for help from people who have tried to stop these towers, whether successfully or unsuccessfully. I’d like to know what you learned so I can move forward strategically to save our farm. We got a trailer (finally thanks to a generous Christmas gift from my parents) after 3 years without one since selling ours to move from Washington to Florida. You may recognize our special guest leading Sassy onto it for the first time. It was also his first time ever leading a horse, so kind of the blind leading the blind. Anyway all went well and now Lily is practicing with Sassy. We are so excited to finally have a trailer for emergencies - and rodeos! We had severe weather with tornado watches yesterday so Carla the chicken did the live reporting.
