Maybe not a big deal to some but we picked our first squash of the season and it was a looker! We’ve struggled with getting the seasons and soil right, so those of you who have been there before, you know what this moment was like.
Lily used her birthday money to buy 4 more chicks and one seemed a little off, so we took a friend’s advice and gave her egg yolk through a syringe. She perked up immediately. Doing something that looks crazy but actually works…a great way to celebrate Mother’s Day!
ICYMI Chicken owners in the UK will need to register with the government or face a £5,000 fine. The reason given is bird flu. Prior to this new rule, only people who owned 50 or more birds had to register with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
