YouTube just announced that videos discussing sexual abuse are now able to earn ad revenue. It mysteriously comes in the wake of the Russell Brand controversy. Big picture: someone (or some people) with a direct line to YouTube wanted to get paid or at least incentivize discussion of this topic (of course from the desired angle).

The Johnson Amendment is a 1954 statute that says nonprofit organizations —501c3’s, including churches— may not endorse or oppose political candidates if they want to keep their tax-exempt status.
