One of the eggs in the nesting box a few days ago looked exactly like it was wearing a little hat. After a couple days sitting in a carton, the “hat seam” dissolved, and you could open the top of the egg. Very odd! Anybody have an idea why this happened?

I took the kids to Adventure Island yesterday for the last weekend before it closes for the season. They close because no one comes swimming because it’s “too cold”. Yesterday, the high was 85 degrees and the park was almost completely empty. I can’t judge. I love the sunshine too. But I do love a good cold plunge.

We are back to gardening after a year off. The reason? Paralysis by analysis is the homesteader’s worst enemy. So far the best adventures we’ve had started small with no expectations but curiosity.

BC has gutted their timber industry. Will Wa and Oregon follow suit to be inline with this pact? Cascadia is also a progressive movement to unite the region in their communist utopia. Maybe that’s why the leader chose the name.
