Richard Grove of Grand Theft World is on my podcast tomorrow. He is a hard one to sum up. A recent quote: "In the event of an emergency, be prepared for 1 thing: To be abandoned by your government and preyed upon by vultures and hyenas." Grove was a software executive who witnessed WTC buildings explode on 9/11. He represented himself pro se in court against his multi-billion dollar employer for retaliating against him as a whistleblower. He started an online academy for people to learn history and autonomy in the face of government malfeasance. Please post recent news headlines you'd like him to analyze and any questions you have. Thanks!

Making fresh milled, whole grain bread at home can be challenging but it’s so worth it! We made several dense loaves before we got it right. The most important trait in a successful bread maker is persistence. So don’t give up! Here are a few tricks we have learned along the way. Hope it helps. I know many of you are far beyond the beginnner stage so please share your tips as well! There is nothing better than warm bread, fresh out of the oven, with a nice big slab of butter, even if it’s not perfect. 🧈 As my grandmother, Ruth Morrow, used to say, “Even my failures are edible.”
The kids did their first rodeo today! Their event was “goat undressing on foot.” They have to catch a goat and grab a ribbon of its tail, throw the ribbon in a bucket and raise their hands to stop the clock. It seems grabbing the rope is the best strategy, then use that to shimmy toward the goat. The real winner was the crowd- who doesn’t love watching kids chase a goat in circles? Lily’s time was around 24 seconds, Jack’s was about 13 seconds.
I had to get a blood sample from our (hopefully pregnant) dairy cow, Maisy, to the post office, but wanted to hit the gym on the way. So, the blood came in a cooler (which I won in a feed store raffle) and hung out in my passenger seat. I think you hit the pro farmer world when you can say you’ve driven around with animal blood in your car while running errands. All in a day’s work!
