They're doing this to increase viewership lost after the 2020 Presidential election. FOX News saw a significant decrease in viewers after calling Arizona for Biden earlier than many other outlets. Many of those viewers transferred allegiance to Newsmax and OAN. Since then, FOX has been losing in certain ratings slots to rivals CNN and MSNBC.
