I was just thinking how off the rails this state has gone. It’s a place where resentment can easily divide neighbors. Then I woke up to this sunrise and remembered the words of Jesus. Resentment is a thief of joy and cannot exist with love.

He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” Matthew 5:43-45
We had severe weather with tornado watches yesterday so Carla the chicken did the live reporting. We buy a roll of hay every other week not so much because the cows eat it all but because King Peter likes a nice fluffy bed that doubles as a look-out station. Of course he and Tod end up urinating and defecating on the hay which makes it less than ideal for the cows. We are working on putting up yet more fencing so the boys don’t have access to the cow hay but for now Pete is living large.
