#FoodBanks #Covid #Comics Food programs across the country have seen an overwhelming increase in need due to the Covid pandemic, and that has included a surge in children. One food program in Portland, the Northeast Emergency Food Program, has paired with local comic book store, Excalibur Comics, to give kids free comic books with their meal boxes. The program, Comics for Kids, was started as a partnership thanks to Justin Zimmerman, a Portland graphic novel artist.
Rudolph the red nose…goat, sheep, horse, dog, cow, chicken. I usually find that time escapes me but when I watch this video I wonder if I have too much of it on my hands. 🤣 Poor ole’ Sassy is used to my antics. I’ve been harassing her with costumes since I was 11 years old. The other animals are hoping this doesn’t become an annual tradition. (No animals were harmed in the filming of this music video.)
The 4H rabbit tattoo clinic is the cutest tattoo parlor I’ve ever seen! I have no tattoos but we came so close to getting a rabbit with one because it’s ridiculously adorable to watch the bunnies all snugged up in their swaddle. They get tattooed to record ownership, health and bloodlines. Most of these rabbits will go to the county fair to show with their kiddos so it’s important to know who’s who - especially when they’re so apt to jump off!
If you thought the movie Spotlight was explosive. It only captures a fraction of what is in this book. Which is a very small fraction of the largest trafficking organization of children on earth!
