Associated Press reporter Mike Balsamo tweeted, "Downtown Washington is basically a military and law enforcement fortress a day before the inauguration. There are checkpoints at nearly every corner, streets blocked off with giant trucks & National Guard troops continue streaming in." Meanwhile, protestors were out in Portland and Seattle for the #J20 direct action which included reports of smashed windows at the historic Starbucks in Pike Place Market and the Democrat Party of Oregon.

In case you missed the end of yesterday's show, here is a quick update on our cell tower fight. We filed an application to be granted intervenor status (if you're not familiar with this, definitely look it up in case you ever need to fight something before your local government). That application included an expert report written by Dr Kent Chamberlain, one of the world's leading RF radiation experts. A week later, we were notified by the county that the cell tower company's attorney asked to have their application continued to a "date uncertain", which basically means an indefinite pause. That meant we did not present at the previously scheduled April 16 meeting. We will see what happens next!
