@CriticalThought - When giving health advice to people, we may not know why they do the things they do and it may cause issues.
My naturopath had me stop eating before bed also, for that same reason as you suggested. I started getting sick every morning and getting headaches from too empty of a stomach. She had me eat a small amount of protein right as I head to bed and the problem has been solved.
Milk would work for this also. Probably why a lot of old timers drank it before bed.
But when it was the Christian baker. MAGAville cried for "freedom" and "liberty". I don't support setting up Christians for a fall. But, as the saying goes. Ya can't have it both ways....
