Worms behind bars: my story with inmate Juan Hernandez

Here’s the story I mentioned in the Editorial Board meeting today. Juan Hernandez was a gang member sentenced to 20 years in jail for murder. After participating in the jail’s vermiculture (worms making soil) program, he told me he wants to work with soil and worms when he is released.
