In case you missed the end of yesterday's show, here is a quick update on our cell tower fight. We filed an application to be granted intervenor status (if you're not familiar with this, definitely look it up in case you ever need to fight something before your local government). That application included an expert report written by Dr Kent Chamberlain, one of the world's leading RF radiation experts. A week later, we were notified by the county that the cell tower company's attorney asked to have their application continued to a "date uncertain", which basically means an indefinite pause. That meant we did not present at the previously scheduled April 16 meeting. We will see what happens next! I almost feel bad for our rooster, Hei Hei. Even though he continually sneak attacks me, I think his bully behavior is driven by the fact that he gets bullied by pretty much every animal on the farm, including our sheep, Maple.

Northwest Florida feels so much like eastern Washington today. We have multiple wildfires in the area and a red flag warning. The sun is so hazy and orange just like I remember on those late summer days when we lived north of Spokane. The air quality is poor and it smells like campfire. I had a friend tell me she sold off part of her beef herd early because the drought has made it unaffordable to keep feeding cows as the grass isn’t growing. There is no immediate danger to us, though the conditions make it risky for anyone who lives in a rural area.
Americans will be screaming about this in about 2028. After it's done, and when it can be played up in someone's political campaign.
